TonyS -> "Trojan & Executable Scanner" is deleting, not using quarantine as configured. (29.Jun.2009 12:38:46 PM)

I can find no option to tell the Trojan & Executable Scanner to "delete" versus "quarantine". All of the configuration screens use the phrase "it will get quarantined", but offending e-mails are, in fact, deleted.

Using latest build of MailSecurity, version 10.0 build 20090526

I'm losing attachments because they are getting deleted and not quarantined, like they should be...

Help? Anyone?

TonyS,

1. If you look in the "Real Time Monitor" node in the MailSecurity configuration, what is listed for the mails in question?
2. Please check the directory "c:\program files\contentsecurity\mailsecurity\failedmails" for these mails?

All it says is "Item was deleted", with no real explanation as to WHY. [>:]

Hi,

How did you determine that the Trojan and Executable Scanner is deleting the messages? Do you have any other filters set to delete?

I would recommend that you enable "Log occurrence to this file" from the Actions tab in the Trojan and Executable Scanner configuration.
