Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could help out with getting GFI Events Manager setup to monitor ASP??

I have tried to create a rule set for any errors on ASP and doesn't seem to find them.

Thanks

What specific event IDs, or sources are you looking at finding information for?

Well I am looking to find anything that shows an error for ASP.NET.

But mainly Event ID 1309.

It may be easiest to create a new "Event Processing RuleSet" this Rule Set would be a collection of rules (or events) that you want to capture. Within the ruleset you would create one rule for each event you want collected. For instance Event ID: 1309, or one that collects events for Source: ASPNET

You could also create both, so that event ID 1309 is created as a High Priority rule, and all other events get archived as Low (this way only the 1309 events are emailed to you)

Once you have all of this created, you need to tell GFI EventsManager to use this new ruleset. This is done from the Configuration -> Event Sources settings. Locate the server you want these rules to apply to, right click it and select the "Windows Events" tab. From this tab, you will see all of yoru rulesets from GFI and you can enable your newly created rule.
