DrewE -> RE: Trouble pushing office patches (25.Jun.2009 9:58:59 AM)

I've seen this type of issue in our support office a few times before. More often it occurs with Microsoft SQL patches where an application other than one of Microsoft's defaults comes bundled with a SQL component that does not get patched nicely. In regards to Microsoft Office patches, we would need the specific patch that does not seem to get deployed, and a full set of debug logs. Also, an important piece of information to know: Does Microsoft Windows Update still feel the patch is missing? Lastly, a list of installed service packs can be obtained by opening a command prompt and typing: WMIC qfe > C:\qfe.txt Once done, open qfe.txt and look at the installed service packs and patches. It should closely match Add/Remove programs but can often show the information in a more concise manner.
