We just want to seek assistance on how we can collect the logs from our 3rd party application. The said logs are in a text based format (notepad) that resides in a folder inside its program files. is there a way that the GFi can retrieve all the logs on the said location?

Thanks and best Reagrds,
Budz

GFI EventsManager can not retrieve logs in TXT file format unless they are in the standard W3C format that Microsoft uses.

An alternative is either to see if any events show up in the Windows Event Log, configure the device or application to send SysLog (typically only available on Linux / Unix machines) or use SNMP messages (typically only available on physical hardware / routers.)

Hi Drew,
The Logs that we are trying to collect is a Syslogs from our application named Cisco Secure ACS v3.3 for the passed/failed authentication from the monitored Cisco Network devices like Routers and VPN Concentrators. But we review the documentation of this application and found out that the current version will not provide or send Syslog messages to the GFi Server's IP unless we upgrade this to v4.0 or higher. Anyway, we appreciate your quick response.

Thanks and best regards,
Budz
