Hello amitv, In order to reduce the size for PDF documents one can utilize compression. GFI FAXmaker utilizes more than one compression type which are Flate, JPEG, and CCITT. Flate compression is the best option which works well on images with large areas of single colours or repeating patterns, such as screen shots, simple images created with paint programs, and black-and-white images that contain repeating patterns. JPEG compression is suitable for grayscale or color images, such as continuous-tone photographs that contain more detail. CCITT G4 or Flate compression can be applied, a general-purpose method for most types of monochrome images. In order to make use of such compression algorithms you would need to create a REG_SZ registry entry under Faxmaker\Config called "pdf_image_compression_type" and set it to either "flate", "jpeg", "ccitt3", "ccitt32d" and "ccitt4". To locate the above registry hive please perform the following: a) Open Regedit (Start -> Run -> Type 'regedit' and press Enter) c) Browse to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\GFI FAX & VOICE\Faxmaker\Config] Please note that testing compression on PDF documents using the above registry tweaks have not been fully tested by GFI and therefore we cannot guarantee perfect results.
