Approved quaratined email does not reach sender (Full Version)

I have an email that mail security blocked.  When I approved it from the quaratined list the email appears to leave mail security but the recipient does not receive it.
I have tested the rule set myself from an external email source and the email is stopped by mail security and when approved the email arrives in the recipients Outlook inbox.
I do have mail essentials installed as well.

Where can I trace or try to locate where this email is be lost/stopped?

there are several things you might try. This depends if you have enabled debugging for MailSecurity and MailEssentials. Both, for that purpose, have a registry value called "Debug" in HKLM\Software\GFI\MailEssentials\Config resp. ..\ContentSecurity\MailSecurity\Config which would need to be set to 1.

However, first I'd start looking for the message in your Exchange message tracking and see what happened there.

Unfortunatly message tracking was not enabled on our Exchange server.
I have now enaled it and will have the sender send the email again in order to see where it goes.
I will post the results when I have them.

An update to the latest build (20090526) solved this problem for us - looks like this build contains an overhaul of the whole quarantine system.

Beware, though - we encountered .net incompatibilities post-reboot (.net AMD version on an Intel platform) which were eventually solved with a visit to Windows update which re-patched .net up to the latest (correct) version.
