I have a trial version of NSM 7 (latest version) setup to monitor our Drupal site via an HTTPs check but it doesn't seem to be working correctly when attempting to monitor a sub-folder. If I have the URL in the check setup as https://secure.mydomain.com the check works fine. If I modify the check to monitor https://secure.mydomain.com/drupal the check fails with error:

Failed: Unable to establish a new connection (check your URL, path and credentials)

The site requires authentication but the main page comes up with a Drupal login box initially so anonymous users can log in.

Any suggestions?

After you visit https://secure.mydomain.com/drupal, does the site redirect to a new page before logging in?  (Is the URL different, or longer now?) If so use the redirected URL within GFI Network Server Monitor.

No, there is no redirection. The actual URL of the site is https://secure.mydomain.com/drupal/index.php (which I've also tried with no success). I'm not even checking the site for text strings (although that is next on my list); I am just trying to check for availability.

Who signed the SSL certificate in use for this website, is it self-signed?

No, the certificate is not self-signed. It was purchased from Verisign.
