ChrisH -> Sporadic Error: Unable to query service state (1.Jun.2009 12:25:16 PM)
|
Hello. I have two issues. Network Server Monitor (NSM) is installed on a Windows Server 2003 machine and our environment is all Windows Server 2003. I get this error sporadically on seemingly random machines. The security logs on the monitored machines show that NSM sometimes tries to authenticate using the "NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON" account. This is throwing 538 and 540 success audits in the security log of the monitored server. Other times, NSM is using the correct, network account. My issues are: 1) Can I configure NSM to always use the network account with which it is configured? 2) Is there a way to eliminate the "Unable to query service state" failures (besides setting NSM to not notify me when this happens)? Thank you, Chris
