Hi!
Last update in Synchronization Agent is 08/04/2009.
If press Upload now or Download now on the Slave server I got a message that service start upload/upload successfully, but nothing happens. On the master server I can see Uploading running and acknowledged.
From the slave server I can see http://masterserver//gfisync with a lot of zip files.

Please help to solve! My whitelists are out of sync!

Do you see any errors in the mestrx*.txt debug log files in the DebugLogs directory on the master server?

Do you have zip files for all your slave and master servers in the gfisync folder? If not, the sync will never combine the zip files.

Has it ever worked? If so, which updates have been applied to the master server since it failed?

The host names in the master configuration must match the filenames that are generated in the published IIS directory.

Has the password for the upload changed? Or has the account expired or become locked out?

Thank you for your so quick reply.
Yes, it was working few month without problems.

In mestrxsvc.gfi_log.txt there are repeating:

2009-04-20,13:11:57,244,3,"#00000574","#0000068c","info   ","MESTRXSVC","MES_TransferService_Thread - SERVICE_MERGE_TIMER signalled"

2009-04-20,13:11:57,244,3,"#00000574","#0000068c","info   ","MESTRXSVC","MES_TransferService_CtrlHandler - processing SERVICE_CONTROL_MERGE.."

And I found those strings in the end of mestrxlib.gfi_log.txt:

2009-04-20,13:11:57,244,3,"#00000574","#0000068c","info   ","MESTRXLIB","CJobParameters::InitAutoWLDBConn [true] - opening database..."

2009-04-20,13:11:57,259,3,"#00000574","#0000068c","info   ","MESTRXLIB","CJobParameters::InitAutoWLDBConn <<"
2009-04-20,13:11:57,259,1,"#00000574","#0000068c","error  ","MESTRXLIB","CJobManager::Start - Initialising parameters...failed!"
2009-04-20,13:11:57,259,3,"#00000574","#0000068c","info   ","MESTRXLIB","CJobManager::Start <<"

I think it could give you some information.

The software version was 14, but today I update it on both servers to the last patch.

In the SyncData folder I found only zip files from my Master server and one file 7B0E4489-7DE7-4384-A7CF-8E1FAAFE583C.zip. The oldest file is from April 8 when synchronization stopped.

Hope to hear from you soon.
Arkady.

It looks like there is more than one problem here.

1. Your autowhitelist.mdb is corrupt. Make a copy of it, repair it with Access and put it back. You might need to stop the GFI services and IISAdmin and its dependencies. Alternatively, the format may be unrecognised because there may have been a change - I cannot confirm this - so a reinstall might help here.

2. Your slave isn't uploading (there isn't a file for it). The long filename you mention is the merged data. I presume this is dated 08/04?

Check your IIS logs for errors from your slave (enable logging on the default website and IISRESET). There may also be some errors in those debuglogs files on the slave.

1. Can I copy autowhitelist.mdb from master server to slave? Is it will solve the problem? On the slave server it is 340M, on the master it's 4M. I guess you are right - it's corrupted on slave server.
2. You right about merge file it's created 08/04.

Arkady.

Yes you can copy it assuming the two machines are at the same version of ME, but you'll need to stop the services to do it. if it still won't copy, get procexp from www.microsoft.com/sysinternals to find out what's holding the file open.
