GFI MailEssentials 14.1 Service Release 1 (build 20091027) has been released and is available for download. Changes within this release include: - FIXED: Emails get stuck in the SMTP queue after being processed by GFI MailEssentials.
- FIXED: Emails looping between GFI MailSecurity and GFI MailEssentials when forward to email action is used in GFI MailEssentials.
- FIXED: Reduction in spam capture by SpamRazer, caused by failed execution of certain DNS based checks performed by the engine.
- FIXED: Crash of Synch agent service when a port other than the default port is used.
- FIXED: Crash of SURBL module caused by emails containing URI which is longer than 2048 characters.
- FIXED: Dot stuffing performed whilst processing of emails can corrupt attachments.
- FIXED: Emails downloaded through POP2Exchange are not being delivered to recipients. This happens due to an issue in the handling of From\To header entries containing text in () brackets.
- FIXED: If selecting only Move to Inbox and Block Reason actions for any anti-spam filter, the block reason is not added to the blocked email.
- FIXED: Directory Harvesting at SMTP level does not block emails containing at least 1 remote recipient (recipient whose domain is not listed in the GFI MailEssentials inbound domains list). Due to this issue, GFI MailEssentials doesn't block certain casino related spam emails.
- FIXED: Crash caused in Whitelist, Blacklist and Mail Monitoring modules when processing emails whose recipients contain multiple empty spaces in From\To header.
- FIXED: A minor memory leak affecting the GFI MailEssentials Scan Engine service which is caused by the module which routes emails to list server (even when list server is not used).
- FIXED: The detection of perimeter servers which is performed during installation fails, causing the perimeter server option to be set but having list of perimeters not populated.
- FIXED: If multiple perimeter servers are identified and the local server's IP is one of the IP addresses, it is not included in the perimeter servers list.
- FIXED: Disclaimers\General Settings user selection button not displaying user selection dialog.
- FIXED: On Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, the disclaimer Sender Name value would be set using the Sender Email instead.
- FIXED: Downloading of SpamRazer updates fails.
- FIXED: Save to disk action does not remove characters which cannot be written as part of the filename, causing action to fail.
- FIXED: Error reported when enabling\disabling tracing in Switchboard.
- FIXED: Updated the Send Fake NDR action so as to support entering a different postmaster email address. This issue resulted from the change which was made in GFI MailEssentials 14.1, in which the use of the template ndr.xml has been replaced with email subject and body XSL templates. The KB article which describes how to set the postmaster email of the fake NDR has been updated to explain how this can be set in GFI MailEssentials 14.1:
