It also looks like all it is copying is the setup.exe and not the full installation. If you copy just the setup.exe and run it like the scripts are running it you get the same error. It doesn't point back to the actual installation source.

oh brother ... Totally missed the post above his. He was speaking in reference to using a batch file to push the install.

I give up, I added the batch file which runs perfectly fine on its own from a machine. LANGuard copies it out and nothing happens. This is highly frustrating but I'm starting to become prepared to expect that from this product.

In a custom software deployment there are typically only a few items that cause the most trouble: - Invalid command line switches, which you have been ruled out by testing on a machine directly.
- Permissions related issues. When you run the command directly on the machine you may be using a different account than what GFI Languard is pushing the software out with. As discussed earlier, if you do not set the credentials to use under "deployment options" it may fail.
- Lastly, trying to run software across a network drive can lead to invalid path information (if the same Network Drives are not mapped correctly between machines)
Other quick thinks you may want to check include the Windows Event Log for any errors with the setup package, along with the Patches.log file as this can often give different errors as you change the way the software is deployed. Lastly, if none of this is working, please either open a support request online form http://support.gfi.com, or call us and we will gather a full set of GFI Languard debug logs to better identify why this is failing.

It certainly wasn't the switches, I used the domain admin account, I made sure to allow for run as service but still no go, and finally I made sure to use the full network path \\server\share\path\setup.exe. At this point there are too many other problems with LANGuard not correctly detecting vulnerabilities and not successfully remediating patches like it is supposed to so this problem will have to be shelved until I finish providing debug logs and waiting for your developers to provide solutions. When I'm ready to follow up on this I'll submit a trouble ticket. Thanks for your assistance DrewE and JoeStern.
