Hi,
Recently we discovered that our mailarchiver doesnt display any emails after july this year.

Each year has its own seperate database and index and the 2008 database is at about 17GB with 200000 email on it.
In the Indexed info about the database it states only 110000 or so of the emails are indexed.

I tried rebuilding the index but this just causes the index to stay in the rebuilding state and the indexed email count doesnt increase.
I also tried to recreate and index by changing the settings and pointing the index to a new location then trying the reindex. This also leave the index in the rebuilding state and even worse has 0 items indexed.

Each time i started the rebuild i left the machine for a good 3-4 days but no joy.

Any suggestions as to how i can fix this would be much appreciated.

Hi,
Im using mail archiver 4 build 20070616 .

However after investigating extracting the email to possibly split the main 2008 database into 4 quarterly databases i found an item discussing the index.xml file for the search service only doing 5000 files at a time and how it wont actualy start as thier is an autostop limit of 5000.

Since the search service also rebuilds the indexes the files i tried editing the index.xml file in the actual index folder to have a files and autostop limit setting them to 500000.

Good news is that this appears to have worked and i now have 208086 emails indexed only 40 more to go :)
