That seems to have solved the access problem. I can now remotely view the event log, and EventsManager has collected quite a few hundred thousand Windows Events (shown on the General Status screen), but I'm only able to see a handful of the 600,000 odd events in Events Browser. I've restarted services and rebooted the server, and will leave it overnight before attacking it again, but I can't see why so few events are visible at this stage. Thanks for your help. I'll let you know what I find tomorrow.

This was the issue, but it is still present. The issue isn't related to EventsManager, but the fact that we cannot remotely view the event log which we believe is related to us introducing Windows Server 2003 domain controllers into a Win2k domain. We're still investigating a solution, other than rebuilding the 2003 DCs again now that were are no more Win2k DCs in our infrastructure. Thanks for your help.

I still have the problem and not only with DC, but with other servers also. And registry change does not help. If I try to connect useing event viewer, it works fine, but with gfi it does not. My question would be, what does GFI do differently?
