Hello,
I am having the same problem. I have GFI MailArchiver installed on a windows 2008 server, while i have Exchange 2003 server installed on a Windows 2003 server. I have done everything by the book but still i keep getting "Failed to Connect to Microsoft Exchange Server". Also, on the server i keep getting this error message "Faulting application MArc.UMPolling.ExPolling.exe, version 1.0.0.21, time stamp 0x49743b8e, faulting module KERNEL32.dll, version 6.0.6001.18000, time stamp 0x4791a7a6, exception code 0xc0000142, fault offset 0x00009cac, process id 0x1660, application start time 0x01c9bc4e0a6f73ab." evry minute.
Any solution please?

If you are running exchange 2003 please make sure:

1. that you have no deny permissions on the user set up for the mailbox synchronization. You will need to check the exchange mailbox database security settings and click on the advanced button. (from the Exchange Management console)

2. Make sure that mapi/cdo package is installed on your windows 2008 machine

3. Also make sure that the user for mailbox synchronization can log into the Windows 2008 machine

regards

I did all the above before i wrote to the forum. What i forgot to add was that, even the administrator login was also unsuccessful.

Under what credentials are the GFI MailArchiver services running?

They should be running under Local System Account
