teich -> Processor Usage (16.Jul.2008 9:02:10 AM)

I have EventsManager using the latest build 20080702 running on Windows Server 2008 standard in VMWare ESX 3.5 update 1.  I am only monitoring one source and it is a windows 2003 domain controller using all the default settings of events manager whenever it is scanning the single target the processor spikes with no regard as to how fast the processor is. if we set it to scheduled scans it only spikes while its scanning.  Can i get any help.

My first instinct would be to ensure the connection to your SQL database is operational.  Try opening the back-end database properties, adding a space to the database name and then immediately remove the space. Apply the settings.  This will test your database connectivity and schema.  My second thought would be a credentials issues, although that isn't likely.  If neither of these suggestions help, our debug logs would contain a lot of information to resolve this issue, and we might need to open a support ticket (http://support.gfi.com) to best assist you.
