Did U use the default collation setting in your SQL? There are no syslogs in Windows. There are only WMI logs. Are U referring to the event logs in your Chinese Windows Servers?

i run GFI ESM at Chinese Windows, and it can t collect chinese windwos event, but if the syslog include chinese ,ESM can't display them right .

if i change default collation setting in  SQL,ESM 'll can't find db.

In order to best assist you, and the rest of our customers, I would advise opening a support ticket with us at http://support.gfi.com.  This would be the fastest way to hear from our developers regarding support of Chinese characters in the syslog and data logging modules.
