gfi_viper -> Offline Update (30.Jun.2008 9:28:03 AM) Is there a way to preform offline updates to GFI.  One my clients is using LNSS 7.0 and does not have an internet connection on the host scanning system (by design).  Does GFI provide offline upates? Thanks.

DrewE -> RE: Offline Update (3.Jul.2008 9:09:57 AM) GFI does not provide offline updates.  You can, however, copy the files from ftp.gfi.com/lnsupdate and host them locally on your machine.  GFI LanGuard Network Security Scanner offers the ability to set an alternate download location. (Configuration -> Program Updates -> Download Updates from an Alternative Location.)  You'll need, at a minimum index.txt, lnss_8_patchengine.cab, lnss_8_patchmngmt_en.cab (replace EN with the specific language you are downloading),  and lnssupdateinfo.xml from our ftp site.
