I am in an organization of about 45 employees. Currently, we use GFI for filtering spam and it is very effective. However, we are in the practice of having one employee go through the spam filter manually to look for legitimate emails. There are not a whole lot, and I would like to have this individual stop the manual search. A few individuals do not like this as they occasionally do have a legitimate email and feel they cannot take a risk in not getting the email.

I could have spams send to a subfolder of their inbox. But is there anyway to only do this for the three to five folks who are raising the objection? If not, what other options do I have? I want to put the responsibility on these individuals instead of an IT person.

Thanks,
Eric

Put the user into the Whitelist as an SMTP To: and a MIME To: Anything going to them will then bypass SPAM checking (Provided the Whitelist is above other modules in priority).

Hi Tiny,

Thanks for your suggestion. I had considered that. The problem is (I think) that this would then cause commingling of their valid email and spam email. I'd like it so that these users would have a spam folder that they could look at once a day rather than have their inbox be inundated.

Eric,

The modules in GFI MailEssentials are for the entire organization and are not configurable on a per user basis.
