methodology -> 10 fails in two hours? (18.Jun.2008 4:05:41 AM)

Hi

Im running DFS Replication and as it generally a bit flaky I have configured a rule to send me an email when more than 10 event 5014 or 5002 are raised in 2 hours ie.

consider this monitoring check as a fail after: 10 errors
only check events which happened in the last: 120 minutes.

yet it keeps alerting me when any of those eorrs show up at all - this mornings email was based on one single error.

am i missing something? what am I doing wrong?

Cheers

Alastair

Anyone?

Are you getting multiple e-mail alerts for one failure? Or does it seem like just the error threshold (consider the check a fail after 'x' errors) isn't working correctly?

The latter

It definitely looks like the 'consider the check a fail after 'x' errors' is being ignored.

I haven't heard of any issue like that before, and I'm unable to find anything in our previous technical support cases.  Please contact us by visiting http://support.gfi.com so we can further look into this issue.
