I installed ISA 2006 and works ok. yesterday i installed GFI Web Monitor 4 and it slow down my internet connection.users were complained about this. i tried every thing to resolve this but no use. do anyone have a solution for this.

Sorry for delay. If you experience delay here try to ask support.

Possible reasons for internet connection slowdown are:

-Slow AD: When new user is connected, WM is trying to resolve with AD his GROUP names and EMAIL address. Before build  20080509  this caused on network enviroments with slow/big AD delays which clients coul dfeel as slowdow of internet. Prior to Build 20080509 there was registry entry with which you could disable resolving user details from  AD therefore speeding up connection process.

-Installed surfcontrol on same server. We had experience that surfcontrol caused slow download speeds.

there is no 20080509 build. can u give me the register tweak for this problem.

In WM registry hive just setup :  DWORD "NoADCheck" key with value of 1. (1-means dont resolve AD details for users)

HOWEVER this registry tweak was introduced only from build  20080417  as a temporary workaround.

Please wait for WM4 SR3 release. Should be out soon and will be anounced in this web forum.

if i don't have active directory is this applicable. my server is a member server and i use ip addresses rather than group or users to filter. i cannot find the registry key. another thing is i have WM 4 20080226 build is there new builds.

If any of your web clients authenticate with windows user name, AD will get involved.
You need newer build anyway. We will be soon announcing immediate availability of WM4 SR3.
If you want to get build sooner, please contact our support first.

I don't think so. I used this key in release 20080226 as per support engineer request, and it worked fine.

But disabling AD makes WebMonitor useless in our environment, so we'll wait for release which resolve this bug completely.
