miagfi -> Result / Last response troubleshooting (16.May2008 8:40:54 AM)

Hi,
I'm in the process of reviewing an old NSM install (v 5.5). I'm not experienced in it's operation and I've noticed a possible problem.
In the Monitor display, I can see all the monitors that have been set up however there are a few which do not have a Result (n/a) and the Last Reponse states not monitored.
The odd thing is that in the aactivity view window, I can see a response. For example, we have network monitors that ping our switches. One monitor shows a successful reply while the other dies not, yet in the activity window, I can see that the ping resoinse has been succesful. Another example is a disk space monitor that shows n/a result and not monitored last response yet in the activity view, I can see a succesful result stating enough disk space.
I've had a look through the manual but there's not much in there to help. I'm concerned about this as I noticed that I was sent an alert that should be sent every day (sql server service monitor and the sql service is stopped for backup every night)
Can anyone offer any advice? I know the version is old and should be updated however this will involve testing and our test schedule is pretty full at present.
