Hi,

I'm running ME12 and MSEC 10 on the same win2003 sp2 machine and this morning after rebooting I get event id 4211 saying

Plugin QAS.Coordinator reports exception.
.

Additional info: plugin [ContentSecurity.ML.QAS.Plugins.QAPlugin] threw an exception [Error: ProcessItem: exception while opening quar stream[ProcessItem: failed to open quar stream]]
 
 
I didn't find this error message here in the forum so can anyone help me, does anyone know what this means?
everything seems to work fine though, I can open the quarantine tab in msec and approve/delete messages, cannot find anything that is not working.

Do you have any filesystem anti-virus installed on the machine where GFI MailSecurity is called?  If you scan the GFI folders with AV, it may independently quarantine or delete files within the GFI MailSecurity Quarantine.  If our reference to those files still exist it can cause GFI MailSecurity to throw an exception.

What I'd recommend that you do is open a support request at http://crm.gfi.com/Customizations/SupportIssue/support.aspx?lcode=en to have our tech support team help you reset your quarantine.  Thanks very much.

hi eddie,

no, there isn't any virusscan installed on the machine, just msec and me.

what I found is that this eventid only occurs after rebooting and after GFIAutoupdate has started.
then i get 4 eventids with the above message and one eventid 4212 saying


Plugin QAS.Coordinator reports exception.
LoggingStopped


but everything else is working okay.
