Jules888 -> Client error 1701 (30.Apr.2008 11:34:24 AM)

I have been using faxmaker for almost 2 years with no problems and no changes.  The Faxmaker is on a standalone machine running windows xp service pack 2.  The client machines are all running on the same setup networked through windows xp.

I am receiving an error on my client fax machine.  I open the FAxmaker Fax Message Form and type a message and insert a fax number and hit send, it just hangs for a bit before doing anything and then later I get this:

Error converting coverpage : 1701

Any ideas?  This is only happening when I use the coverpage.  When I type something in word or send an adobe file there is no problem.

(I haven't upgraded to faxmaker 14 because I am worried about causing problems to a system that has been running fine with all the features we currently use)

Jules888,

The error that is happening is a conversion error.  If you are using a custom cover page I would suggest switching to use one of the default cover pages and test that.  Also please open your Services and check the account that the two GFI FAXmaker Services are running as.  Then logon to the server with this account and make sure that FAXMAKER is the default printer.

Will do - but I am confused because we have used the same custom cover page from the beginning and have not changed or added any programs to computer running the GFI faxmaker nor users because we only use that computer to run the faxmaker/brooktrout.  We've never had this problem before.

I changed the default printer to the Faxmaker (without changing the custom cover page) and it faxed right through.

Thanks
Jules
