I'm using 5.0 build 20071109 and I imported 587,343 emails over the past few days using the import utility. The database shows 587343 emails and the index was stuck at 40,000 emails for about two days. I read some posts here and followed some of the advice in this post http://forums.gfi.com/fb.aspx?m=900760607 now I have 2000 index emails and that's about it.
About how long should it take to index 500k emails? (quad processor server, 4gb ram, fast raid array)
The index changes between rebuilding and online on the status page, why? (i'm not currently archiving or importing)
Is there any low level info I can look at to see the status or progress of the index being built?
