ionee -> Change Filter Language? (24.Apr.2008 4:57:19 AM)

Hello there

Can i change the Filter's Language? I have only German-W2003-Servers and the default Filters are configured for english systems. How can i change this without editing every single fitler by myself....... ?

thanks for your help!

best regards, mike

Same issue for me: I'm evaluating the 8.1 version (build 20080702) and my servers are set for the Italian language.
All filters in the Events Browser are set for the english language (and I think event processing rules too), so every filter which uses fields other than the event id isn't functional.

Is it only an issue of the evaluation version I downloaded? Did I downloaded the English version and I should have downloaded the Italian version instead? And if you have servers with a language and other servers with a different one?

Otherwise I think it's a critical internazionalization bug which make this product unusable!

Our software comes with a default list of custom rules.  This list is a guideline for customizing the product to your specifications.  These event processing rules come only in English at this time.  GFI EventsManager maintains a high level of customization, which would allow you to modify these rules manually to adjust the language as necessary.

Sorry, but it should be remarked somewhere that you have to customize rules for local language!
If you rely on built-in rules, you have a chance to miss important security notifications from your program!

Very disappointing...

I also see this as a big problem. But the thing that makes it even worse is that with any update of Events Manager, all the custom language rules you could make are deleted and restored to their default.
I would like to know if it's possible to, at least, save all the changes I make to the custom language ID rules to make it working on a non-english Windows Server.

Thank you very much in advance,
Greets,
Akuma.

Hi Akuma,

Using the option "File -> Import and export Configuration" you can export the personalized rules to a file to import them on a new build.
