Hello,

I am running GFI FaxMaker, ver 14 (Build 20070921) on a Windows 2003 Enterprise x64 server.  I have a HP Digital Sender that is sending its "scanned fax file" to a local directory on the server for GFI to pick them up.  The problem I am having is that I cannot find any software that will print the .tiff files to the GFI Fax Printer.  I have verified that this is the default printer.  I have installed IrFan View on the server, so I can at least view these .tiff files, but as soon as I right-click and select Print, it opens the silly Windows Photo printing Wizard.  I have disabled this by typing in:
regsvr32 /u shimgvw.dll, but I get an error that the file is not associated with anything, but it is.  To restore the Photo printing Wizard I type in:
regsvr32 shimgvw.dll.

I know that the 9250C is not supported by GFI, but I know people have got it to work.

Any assitance would be appreciated.

it sounds like you just need to add a print command for tiff that points to IrFan View in Windows file types

Whargoul is correct, please open up your Control Panel>>Folder Options>> File Types Tab.
Please then associate the tiff file with the IRFanView program.  This should resolve your issue.

That's just it.  I have and when I select a .tiff and right-click, print, I am taken to the Windows Picture Wizard.

Wardo2307,

It sounds like it is not really associating the file type.  Well I think that we might be able to try something.  I know when you install IRFANView it will ask you which file types do you want to associate with the program.  Try re-running the IRFanView install and associating the file types to see if that will do it.

I have just re-installed the application on the server - in between reboots.  The same thing is happening.  If I double-click on the file, it opens with Irfan View just fine - right-click, print - opens the Windows Picture Printing Wizard.
