ccastoro -> Archiver 5 SQL issues (21.Apr.2008 1:46:18 PM)

If i browse converstations i see the following error over and over..
quote:

GFI MailArchiver failed to transfer archived emails from its cache to a backend database.

The following error message was reported:
Additional info: An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.)

Regards,
GFI MailArchiver

I have of course checked the database for remote connections and they are allowed..

anyone have any ideas?

thanks

Hello ccastoro,

Do you see any MailArchiver (warning or error) events logged in your Application Event log?

The notification might also be thrown when your SQL settings or Anti Virus settings are not correct.
Can you check?

Are there any items that remain in the MailArchiver\Core\Queue folder?

Kind regards,
