Hi eth_0,

did you upgrade an XP instalaltion that had the Agent already running on it?

Either way, you would need to contact Technical Support in order to have this resolved.

I have just installed SP1 on my Vista machine with GFI EndpointSecurity Agent. Now even if I reinstall the agent software it still doesnt work :(

We are experiencing similar problem. ESEC v4 Build2008215 was able to deploy onto Vista SP1 clients but after reboot, the service wouldn't start! We are using local system to login. Tried it on ThinkPad T60, R60e notebooks and HP & Dell Core Duo workstations. All systems are vanilla setup w/ all antivirus/antispam & Windows Firewall disabled!

Btw, we've already checked remote registry, permission and "the" obvious items that we are aware of and we even tried using local admin account to login for agent deployment.

I was experiencing the same problem and had an issue opened with support. They directed me to download the latest patch for 20080215, which is dated June 5, 2008. This appears to have cleared up our issue with Vista and SP1.

Hi,

is this patch available for public ?

We have a support agreement in place. I'm not sure what the policy is for releasing patches if you do not have one. But if you have a support policy in place, I would contact support and request the June 5, 2008 patch for the 20080215 release.
