newfood -> RE: GFI MailEssentials & Feature Requests (4.Sep.2008 4:23:28 PM)

I would like to see different sorting abilities on each section of each module. For example, I have no problem outright deleting email that gets caught on the bl.spamcop.net DNSBL, but I would like to tag ones that get hit on the l2.apews.org, or the SORBS dynamic DNS lists. l2.apews.org and the SORBS list often generate false positives, but the bl.spamcop.net is almost always 100% spam. Having a different method to deal with each list would be of huge benefit. GFI MailSecurity, and GFI MailArchiver both have web admin interfaces. Why doesn't MailEssentials? Also, can those admin interfaces allow for alternative browsers? Firefox, Safari, Opera, Chrome? Sure, I can use IE, but I prefer to avoid it. Also, I have all three products listed in the above paragraph. GFI MailSecurity has an "AntiSpam" section that tells you to download and evaluate GFI MailEssentials, yet I already own it. Can we have that removed, or better yet, integrated with the products you already own? (MailEssentials also has a similar button in its interface). Better reporting is essential. For example, I block '% off' in the subject line (using keyword filter), but I find some emails make it through the filter, yet others do not. Its quite the erronius task to figure out why one email that has % off in the subject line actually made it through. It would also be nice to get more granular reporting. I would love to see how many hits each entry in the blacklist receives, what each DNSBL entry recieves, etc. It would be really benefitial to find which DNSBL is most effective, or not effective at all.
