Hi,

Can you please provide with the Hardware specs of the machine you have installed LNSS on?

Please also clarify the amount of threads which you have allocated for GFI Languard Network Security Scanner. You can double check this from the following:

1. Open the GFI LNSS Configuration
2. Click on the Configuration Tab > Right Click on the Scanning Profile you are using within your scans > Properties
3. Under the Scanner Options > Network Scanner Options > What is the amount of threads that you have assigned for the profile?

Thank you!

Hello,

the hardware specs of the server, where I have installed LNSS on, are the following:

Intel Xeon 3,2 Ghz
Ram 3Gb
Scsi Disks Raid 5

I have scheduled several scans:

Daily          High Security Vulnerabilities          Thread count 3
2 days         Missing Patches                        Thread count 3
2 days         Trojan Ports                           Thread count 5
Weekly         Software Audit                         Thread count 3
Weekly         Disk Space Usage                       Thread count 3

We use GFI Languard NSS 8.0 Build 20080121. The Scheduled scans loose their date and time schedules everytime the server or the service is restarted. Is there any possibility to bind the scheduled scans to fix days and times, so that the time schedule does not change when the scheduled scan could not start the day it was scheduled for or when it was manually started? In this scenario it happens that the scans should run on specific days and specific times and should not run on other days at all.

Actually I cannot use Languard and have disabled the service.

Hello,

I run manual scans and I have the same problem.

CPU 100% and a vulnerability scan for 25 machines takes forever.

Please help to resolve this issue as soon as possible....

Kind regards,

Ralph
