peltgeno,

Please note that you appear to have an issue with your mail server. The forums notification sent to you for your post, have also been returned to GFI with the same error you have mentioned.

peltgeno,

Are you able to send emails to <number>@faxmaker.com? For example: 2343243@faxmaker.com

Can you please explain your setup further? What mail server are you using?

Is GFI FAXmaker installed on the mail server machine?

I have the same issue. My clients have a Global address list full of fax contacts but when they use the Outlook (2003) form to send a fax to one of the contacts they get a bounce back right away.

I can send a one off fax to number@faxmaker.com but the problem is that all the contacts setup in their exchange GAL are FAX:Number.

So how do i get the server to accept messages sent to FAX:?

Here is what i get bounced back right away when i try to send to an exchange contact setup with FAX:5555555.

When Connector properties say "Forward to smart host: (same as exchange server)" i get this:
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
Contact Name on 5/5/2008 10:46 PM
A configuration error in the e-mail system caused the message to bounce between two servers or to be forwarded between two recipients. Contact your administrator.

When Connector properties say "Use DNS...." I get this:

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
Contact Name on 5/5/2008 6:09 PM
A temporary routing condition on the server prevented the delivery of the message. Please try to send the message again.
