I do not want more replies from technical support - especially not a copy/paste of an unsatisfying answer half a year ago! I want a reply from GFI developers.

@Nicks its time for you to add value

Please publish here a list of enhancements being worked on and also a list of rejected ones. This will go some way to show us the paying customer something is actually happening.

Our company has been using GFI products for many years. That is likely to change.

Our renewal is due this month. I have seen no acknowledgement other than "it is being considered" for way too long. The only new thing that has appeared in over a year has been the ability in Mail Security to strip attachments - functionality that existed in version 8 and was only recently returned!

We are in the process of evaluating other options...

Support, when needed to fix something is great. However I see no evidence development - pity.

Allow more complex conditional structures in keyword checking (parentheses around groups of terms):
http://forums.gfi.com/Keyword_%22Condition%22_logic%3f/m_900760493/tm.htm

While I'm at it, here are two more suggestions:
1) Filter based on any header, not just From: (mime or smtp) or Subject.  If I want to block all email from "The Bat!", I should be allowed to do so.
2) The Reports program has multiple fields for "Specific Email", to report against a specific email address, but in a workgroup environment (vs. POP3/IMAP) users may have multiple email addresses.  "Specific Email" should have a second option, "Specific Mailbox", to filter against every user address.

If you could add the above features, plus Regular Expression support for keyword checking, plus better editing options for lists that can grow very, very long, I'd be a happy camper.

Thanks for listening!

Hi thetao,

Like justinr said, good luck with that. I tried for two years to no avail. And when GFI doesn't like what I have to say, they just delete my posts.

Regards,

Bill
