When I try to open attachments in GFI the window just hangs and eventually errors out with http 500 error. Right click and "Save as" doesn't work either. The only way to view attachments is to restore the whole email. The same thing happens in Firefox.

Specs:
Windows 2003 with SP1
SQL 2000 with SP4
GFI 4.0 Build number 20061204

Anyone experienced similar problem or has any suggestions on how to fix this?

Hi

Is that any particular type of attachment or email?
Try upgrading to the latest build and make sure that MAR folder is excluded from the antivirus

No, it happens with any type of attachment.
The whole GFI folder is excluded.
I will try upgrading and see what happens.

Just a quick update:
It started working and I am able to open attachments again. The only thing that I did was restarting the core service a couple of times in attempt to fix 6310 warnings.
