FaxMaker Compatability with HP 9250c Digital Sender

Status: offline 		I was in the process of replacing our aging HP 9100c Digital Sender and the current model is the HP 9250c and was wondering if it will be compatible with the current version of FaxMaker.

Status: offline 		I've just installed a 9250C and i'm getting document conversion errors from Faxmaker. Aparently the digital sender creates G4 tiffs but faxmaker only supports G3 format.

Has anybody managed to work round this?

Status: offline 		Install some app on the FM machine which has the ability to print the G4 tifs, like Microsoft Office Document Imaging or something like this.  Then under FM config go to document conversion and add tif and in the command field enter PRINT.  Restart FM services and test.  G4 tif's should then get printed to the FaxMaker printer with the app that controls tif files on the system, instead of FaxMaker handling tif's natively, which only work with G3 tifs, and it should work fine.

I'm using a 9250 and a 3035. The 9250 is working like a charm, the 3035 gives conversion errors.

The weird thing is, the 9250 doesn't need conversion set, is does the job out of the box.
Same thing goes for the 3035. It is working straight away... Until a couple of hours later when Faxmaker all of a sudden reports 1705:Document conversion error.
After repowering the 3035 all is back to normal again until the next.
Above mentioned conversion proposal doesn't work when this happens.

Firmware version for the 3035 is 48.031.6
Firmware version for the 9250 is 48.011.1

Status: offline 		I've got Firmware 48.021.6 on our 9250c. I think if you upgraded your digital sender's firmware, you would consistantly get a doc conv error.

This problem isn't related to a conversion problem, but rather the Digital Sender creating a TIFF file in a format that is not compatible with Faxmaker. To work round the problem I installed third party software to print the TIFF to faxmaker.

I understand. What is strange is the document conversion error that was generated by FAXmaker - the error normally indicates that FAXmaker is not configured to convert the particular document. Another stange thing is that when this error occurs, the error will normally continue occurring unless the FAXmaker configuration is changed.

Can you confirm that the document conversion error is 1705 pls?

Status: offline 		Are HP aware of / fixing this problem?  Otherwise I will open a case with them to get it fixed.

(I am aware of the workaround using the printer driver but this is far from ideal)
