Status: offline 		stopped failing at 7pm 2/27/2007 New york. Just started again!!!!!!
Still failing @ 8:20 am New York. changed update sites last night NO GOOD!!!!!!!!
It works for an hour then it dosen't work.....

I am having problems with my MESS also.
here's the error message:

Status: offline 		As another user previously observed, when I get these failures, then try to connect to update.gfi.com, it takes a very long time (2 minutes or more) to get a password prompt.  It appears that there is a server performance or connectivity issue going on from time to time.  By the way, we are not connecting through a proxy on our network.

Hope this information can contribute to a timely solution.

Status: offline 		Same here with all updates since 02-27-2007 6.56 PM every hour check direct connection to the internet (no proxy).

Status: offline 		Same here update's fail regularly, trojan and email exploits last updated 01/11/07, anti-virus updates fail mostly during the day into early evening .. but update during the night .. not what you would expect from security software / company ... and renewal time is just around the corner as well..

Status: offline 		This has been going on here for weeks as well.  I think its safe to say this is a widespread problem.  That GFI is unable solve this after weeks is pretty embarrassing, in my opinion.

it would be safe to say its widespread .. but what gets me is in the early days GFI answered "were looking into it" and that seems to be the theme up till now ... looking into it only washes for the first few days, now were weeks down the line, your customers need a bit more info than that ie:

1. Will it be fixed, if so when will it be fixed 
2. Is it unfixable.. then bye bye GFI .. I have a network to protect .. your software aint up to the job 

C'mon GFI ... give your paying customers an decisive answer
