I have set-up a Public folder to receive several generic email adress (ie. sales@ info@...) for easy access. I also use a Public Folder for several registrations (newsletters etc...) such as adobe@, GFI@ Microsoft@ etc.. These emails will be deliverd in 1 public folder where I can sift through the garbage. Since our company uses Outlook 2003 I have set-up GFI to deliver spam in the Outlook Junk email folder. Public folder emails are scanned, I can find them in the log files, but since Public Folders don't have Junk email folders the email is probably not moved. How can I configure emails delivered to Public Folders so that they are moved to a Public Folder Junk folder? Things I already tried: Setting up a Junk folder under All public folders and telling GFI to tag emails with SPAM and using the rulesmanager to move emails tagged SPAM to the Junk folder. I treid the System attendant account for this. Tagging worked, but the rules manager did not work.

Yes, if you are using the action "Move to users Junk Mail Folder", the email will remain in the Public Folder. Unfortunatly, Mail-Enabled Public Folders do not have a Junk E-Mail Folder, and therefore what you are requesting is not possible. However you are able to perform the following workaround, which will stop SPAM emails from arriving in MailEnabled Public Folders if "Move to users Junk Mail Folder", option is Set: 1) Open the GFI MailEssentials Configuration 2) Right Click on an Anti Spam Module --> Properties 3) Under the Actions tab, click on the Move to Subfolder, and enter "Junk E-mail". This way, emails will still be sent to the Junk E-mail folder Next you must configure your Global Actions, which are used when MailEssentials will fail to action a particular email. 1) Open the GFI MailEssentials Configuration 2) Right Click on Anti Spam --> Properties 3) Click on the Global Actions Tab, and select which action you wish. Thank You!

Ok, thanks for the response. Regarding 3), moving to "Junk E-mail", will this work on clients running Swedish Outlooks for example, where the Junk E-mail folder is called "Skräppost", or does one have to specify "Skräppost" instead (which normally isn't the case when you select (o) Move to users junk mail folder)?

This has not been tested with the Swedish Version of Outlook. Thank You!
