Status: offline 		I have EICON DIVA SERVER 2.0 card and have problems. As far as I know there is no patch that fix this. Only patch that changes "generic file error" to "invalid fax size#

where you from? maybe we can get in emailcontact to see what we both have tried... because we 2 got the same isdn card.

I also got an B1, but i need the faxlines of the C4 so i cant change to the B1 to test this issue with another isdn card.

i give up.

the last chance for me to get rid of this error seems to change my hardware.

i now ordered a used Eicon Diva Server 4Bri. On ebay its worth about 400 Euro, maybe iŽll get my old AVM C4 sold for the same so i am out +/- Zero. Hopefully...

If this works for me i will let you know ... if not ... iŽll be back too ;)

Unfortunaly i cant explain how really pissed iŽam because of this error. The support of GFI ist absolutly perfect (tanks to mark for all his emails & patches), even AVM got a good support, but everyone put the blame on the other ... for me this is absolutly no help. After all iŽam at the point where i started since posting this thread in the Forum ...

i know iŽm not alone with this error "AVM C2/C4 vs. GFI Faxmer v12". But maybe a lot of people doesent take care of it ... i would do so too if not one of my employees getting on my nervs since months.

Yeah! Finaly ...

after installing the Eicon Diva Server 4BRI v2.0 and 2000 recieved faxes i got NO Error at all!

i think i am not the only one with this error, i think also that this error occurs wich every AVM C2/C4 Card but most of the users wich got this cards wont know ...

i got this error on 0,5% of my faxes ... now its 0,0% :)

Status: offline 		Regarding "generic file error" or "invalid fax size", we received adapter.cfg file from eicon with wich speed is limited to 14400 and now we have under 1% of failure rate. Strange thing is that I tried to limit speed before on lines configuration in faxmaker and it did not work. Basically sometimes user gets a "bad" channel with faxmaker wich results in "generic file error", and 14400 speed is more robust to this errors.

i got 0,25% of my faxes with "invalid fax size" but with the Eicon Card the sender got an "failed" instead of "OK".

can you send me this config file, maybe i can get rid of this error totaly with this file?

c:\WINNT\system32\drivers\disdn or where you win system is

and put in file

Param FaxOptions = 0x05 W 0x1000


and restart server. I an usinf eicon diva server 2 card, and 8.2 win2k3 drivers
