VirusDef Updater keeps terminating???

I am running GFI smtp security and essentials on the same server.
Also, SAV 9 client with excluded install folders of GFI and Symantec.

Anybody knows what is this?

Error in System Logs:
source: Service Control Manager
event ID: 7034

The GFI virusdef updater service terminated unexpectedly.

I have the same Problem.

When i manually update, i get only an error by the Kaspersky-Engine. The update of the others Engine runs fine.

Status: offline 		I have it on a separate SMTP gateway server. Today I updated all engines manually, but BitDefender.

Status: offline 		I have the same problem. And whem manually update Kaspersky engine, the GFI Content Security Configuration go down: i must to reload the conf. program, but Kaspersky engine seems not working right. My last Kaspersky update is:
Scaner engine: 4.0.2.17
Virus signature: 109929
Virus signature: 2005/01/31

HELP.

Status: offline 		Same here, but I get no error logged when trying to manually update the Kaspersky engine. I finally got a manual update to BitDefender, but they need to get this fixed ASAP or let someone know what is going on with the updates.

The last Kaspersky update I have is 2005-01-28.

Status: offline 		I have the same problem with the virus updater on two different systems. The virus updater service has been terminating on both of them for the past several days.

One of the systems has been running for about two months without any problems, the second system I only installed about a week ago and was working fine until a few days ago. Both seem to have developed the problem around the same time.

They don't have a lot in common, different networks, one is running on Windows 2003 and the other on Windows 2000. Both are running in gateway mode.

I am experiencing the same problem and it has only just started to occur in the last few days. I re-start the service but it just stops again, for this to happen to so many users strikes me as odd! there must be a common link!

I am running Win2000 Srv SP4, Exchange 2003 and GFI mail security. Also I am running Norton AV Corporate but it is configured to ommit all of the relevant Exchange folders and files as recomended. This configuration has been running well for many months and has develoed the problem only in the last few days?

Does GFI have any ideas or comments on the problem?

Status: offline 		Has anyone tried re-booting the server to see if this helps? I know it's a bit of a bind, but if all else fails sometimes a re-boot helps?

Thoughts?

Status: offline 		I rebooted, but the problem remains. My system, win2003 std server + Mail security and mail essential in gateway mode, started yesterday to automatically update (via ftp) only Bitdefender engine: nothing for the other 3 engine . And tonight also virusdef updater stopped and restarted.
I'm very troubled!.

Status: offline 		Hi, same problem. We have 2 servers with MailSecurity, with the one there have Kaspersky v8.1 the service stops, the other one, there do not have Kaspersky, and is a V8.0 there is no problem.... I have rebooted the server, but the problem persist! [Confused]

Now I have set up ServerMonitor to restart the service until a solution / patch is released

All my troubles seems vanished !

This night McAfee, Bitdefender and, above all, Kaspersky engine have updated many times and GFI virusdef updater service never go down.
