zunaid,
The Microsoft Fax drivers should be used when a modem is not supported by FAXmaker.
However there are some limitations when using the Microsoft Fax drivers.
1. If you have more then one modem, these will still be added as a single device in FAXmaker. Therefore such options as line routing, sending on one line and receiving on another line, etc., will be disabled.
2. FAXmaker can support up to 32 COM ports. However, when using the Microsoft Fax service, the number of modems used are limited as per the knowledge base article: http://kbase.gfi.com/showarticle.asp?id=KBID001477

Is there further clarification on MS Fax Service vs. GFI Fax Service?
We want to set up 8 inbound lines - each routed by the specific line to an email address ("line routing"). We have 2 Comtrol Rocket Modem III/8port in a Windows2003Server Standard.
Can we make this work by turning off MS Fax Services on the server? Or does it need to be off on the clients too? (Why?). If we turn off Fax Services on the server, what do we lose? (Why would we want MS Fax Services on?) Would we have to use the trick of moving the base COM port to COM3 (1st Rocketmodem port)?
If not, then upgrading to Enterprise should work?
Is there better documentation on this, your KB 1349 is pretty high-level and unspecific and I'm looking all over your site...
THANKS!
