Seems weird - GFI recommends to install the plugin on internal ISA server in multi-level proxy configuration, but there is no way to configure it to go for signature and program updates through proxy (e.g. the same machine where it is installed). So how it can take updates (internal proxy can not see the internet by definition)?!
Either, I did not understand what "Do not scan macros" option mean - no scan for macros at all????? The only avaliable alternative is "Block all macros", so macro viruses can not be taken care of?
Two rather confusing issues.

Hi,
When downloading definition files, DownloadSecurity will make use of the proxy settings configured in Internet Explorer. Please check this knowledgebase article also:

For the second question, macro viruses are treated as viruses by MailSecurity. Therefor, if you disable blocking of macros, MailSecurity will still block macro viruses.
