t.janssen -> Wrong failure message with DHCP on service port (28.Feb.2005 8:55:00 AM)

I'm trying out the newest build, all works fine except the service-port check for a DHCP server.
On all three DHCP servers I get the message:
"Unable to connect to host Servername:67"
But the services are running fine.
Is this a problem from the quick wizard?

Hi Timo,

That is a false positiv.
The problem is that NSM is checking out the TCP port 67 since it does not suport the UDP ports checking. The port the DHCP server is listening to is 67 UDP.
Please ignore that warning and eventually disable the port check for the dhcp.

Usually, if the service is started, it will listen to the port, so the dhcp service check will be enough.

Best regards,

Thanks for your reply.
Is there a possibility that UDP will be supported bij NSM in the future?
