Do you think we could get this script to pull Dell service tags? That would be very helpful.

that serial number when run on a dell is the dell service tag [Smile]

Sorin,

I'm using your script to get the serial numbers from the BIOS'. It works really well except for some reason certain computers it can't retreive the serial number from the BIOS. One of them being a Dell PowerEdge 2550 server. Why is this? Do you have a new version of the script that might fix this?

Hi,

I don't have a new version of the script. Also I don't have Dell PowerEdge 2550 server to check on specific problems.
The script is based on wmi checks. You should check first if the wmi checks are succesfull on those machine. Check if you have any errors when scanning
