I can restart even reboot on target machine which the OS is Microsoft. And IĈm happy with that.

But IĈm having problem to perform any task such restart service/daemon or rebooting the machine when my target machine is linux.

I just wonder either GFI NSM can bring or restart any failure daemon on linux. For example if the httpd daemon is stop, how to ask gfi to start or restart the daemon. And if a few service is down, how to ask gfi nsm to reboot the linux.

Hi,

Network Server Monitor currently does not support restarting a Linux server, or restarting Linux daemons.

However, you can use tools like putty to run scripts that restart the server or daemons as required.

You can also use the 'rsh' command in windows to runs scripts using RSH.

If you need to run multiple commands, they can be inserted in a batch file.

Let us know if you need further information.
