how avoid dhcp clients counted twice

how can I avoid that clients are counted twice or more in the database, if they receive a new ip-adress via dhcp?
this is annoying, every time a client gets a new ip-adress, lnss thinks its a new
client and adds it to the database of scanned clients.

Status: offline 		If a client has already been counted twice, the old machine must be deleted from the "Scanned Computers" tab of "Database Maintenance Operations." 

Is your DHCP lease time set in a way that clients often change their IP Addresses on your network, or do the IP addresses typically stay the same from workstation to workstation?
