Is it possible to send as attachements Word documents with non-english file names?
I am getting:
1705 : Document Conversion Error. The extension specified is not listed in the allowed extensions list in the document conversion section in the fax server configuration.
Or even:
Description: There is nothing that can be sent in this fax message.

Hi AndreiS,
Can you confirm that this issue does not occur if the document attached has an English name?

Yes!
For example I have sent 2 similar word files:
- one has name -123-Sharma.doc (english) - another has - 123-Шарма.doc ("sharma" in Russian)
For 123-Sharma.doc - I had Success For 123-Шарма.doc - I had - ************************************************** ERROR FAX REPORT ************************************************** Status: Failed Date/Time: 21.02.2005 17:27:56 Description: Attachment conversion failed : 1705 ************************************************** 1705 : Document Conversion Error. The extension specified is not listed in the allowed extensions list in the document conversion section in the fax server configuration. ***
This is error for 123-Шарма.doc file.
I have also tried to send file with only text characters "Шарма.doc" (without numerals "123") And I received another one error :
ERROR FAX REPORT **************************************************Status: failed Date/Time: 21.02.2005 14:08:53 Description: There is nothing that can be sent in this fax message. **************************************************
So it's very strange!
And another one question - Can I write in e-mail body text in Russian? There is also some problems with encoding - I am getting Fax coverpage with nonreadable characters which should be russian words.
Thank you and looking for your help.

Hi,
As a general rule, FAXmaker does not support unicode or double-byte characters. However there are some exceptions to this, as explained in http://kbase.gfi.com/showarticle.asp?id=KBID001513
