I have about 60 email users and a single store of about 60GB that is about 7 years old.
We receive roughly 1000 emails a day.
Our Exchange is setup in a front and back end with fairly robust hardware considering the number of users.
I get nervous about installing another app on our Exchange BE server mostly because it has run fairly flawlessly for 3 years and adding applications scares me a bit but I had not planned on purchasing a specific server to run Archiver. Anyone have any trouble with this?
Could I run it on our FE server?
Also, what are the performance implecations of using a NAS device to store the bin files? Have others found this to be acceptable? We will likely not give all the users access to their archived emails but will for some. Mostly it will be for compliance and to offload very old emails.
