Hello skyh00k,

Please bear in mind that MailSecurity does not yet support Windows Server 2008.
Support for Windows Server 2008 is scheduled to be released in Q2 of this year.

Kind regards,

Any further updates on Windows 2008 release for MSEC or Beta Release dates.

Customers are starting to think about other vendors who are already Windows 2008 compliant particularly because Windows 2008 Beta version on which the bulk of development and testing work could have been done was avaliable for at least 9 months. After that only a very amount of testing would have been left to do when the Production version of 2008 was released towards the end of Feb.

Can you accelerate this, or do we simply tell the customers to go somewhere else now?

Hello rishishah,

We are working hard on a MailSecurity version/build that will support Windows Server 2008.
Unfortunately I do not have a tentative release date for you at the moment.

Please keep a close eye on http://forums.gfi.com/Version_and_Build_Information/m_900735293/tm.htm. This thread will be updated as soon as new builds/versions are released.

Kind regards,

Hi everyone,

I'd like to thank you for your interest in GFI MailSecurity for Windows 2008.

As indicated in this thread, our plans for this quarter include providing Windows 2008 support in GFI MailSecurity. This project is already underway and we plan to release GFI MailSecurity with Windows 2008 support towards the end of June.

We also have plans to make a Beta version of GFI MailSecurity with Windows 2008 support available sometime around May. This will give you the opportunity to test-drive the product on Windows 2008 and provide feedback to us before the final release. If you would like to receive a notification when the Beta becomes available, you can subscribe to the MSEC Beta mailing list by sending a blank email to msecbeta-subscribe@lists.gfi.com

Best regards,

Chris

I just wanted to post my disappointment at no 2008 Server support.

We've been using the built in spam filters since we upgraded to 2007 a year ago.  Now we've just upgraded to SP1 and Server 2008 and I thought I would try GFI again only to find out that now you are not supporting 2008!

It seems GFI is always about 6 months behind the releases.  Last year it was Exchange 2007 on the Server, now it's this issue.   It has to be costing you market share.

I agree with TimMeade...the lack of new product support is disappointing, especially considering that Beta versions of Windows 2008 (on which bulk of the tests could have been done) was out over 1 year ago.
