What's new in GFI EndPointSecurity 3? GFI EndPointSecurity 3 is a complete re-development of GFI's removable storage control product – GFI LANguard Portable Storage Control 2. GFI EndPointSecurity is a commercial release that is available for purchase. The new version, GFI EndPointSecurity 3 boasts the following set of new and updated features: - Totally revamped user interface, which facilitates the agent deployment process by keeping track of what to update.
- Group based control protection, which is used to set different protection levels to different computers without loosing track of how each computer is protected.
- Granular access control, through the use of read only and read/write permissions for devices.
- Added support for more devices, including wireless NIC cards, Palm/PDA devices, printers, modems, digital cameras, scanners and more!
- Enhanced agent security to avoid tampering with the GFI EndPointSecurity protection applied on computers.
- Logging of data activity performed through devices, which can be saved both to the protected computer's event log or a central SQL database.
