Changes in this release include:
- NEW: Added compatibility with Windows 2000 Professional
- NEW: Program can now be installed on Windows XP 64-bit
- NEW: Improved operating system detection in task logs; added Windows 7 detection
- UPDATED: FTP port can now be changed to any number (not only 21)
- UPDATED: Backups can be saved in a new subfolder of a LAN share
- UPDATED: Program now checks the user rights for the destination folder before trying to write the GBT file
- UPDATED: Right clicking on a task group now only shows the operations that you can do on that specific group
- UPDATED: The agent now shows the tasks in the same order as the main program
- UPDATED: The %BACKUPDATED% variable for CD/DVD label now has the local system date format
- UPDATED: Some default split sizes of ZIP archives were modified to help users who use CD/DVD for backup
- UPDATED: Split sizes over 4 GB changed to 630 MB, to avoid problems on DVD and FAT32 file systems
- UPDATED: Performance optimizations that result in better speed and less disk space required by eliminating unnecessary temporary file copy operations
- UPDATED: Optimizations to the plugin engine
- UPDATED: Old TBT tasks (from Titan Backup) can now be imported and restored in GFI Backup Home Edition
- UPDATED: Better error handling for tasks with an invalid destination
- UPDATED: Program can now be closed using right click and "Close" on the taskbar
- UPDATED: GMAIL is now a supported SMTP server (on port 587)
- FIXED: Fixed an issue for individual restore from tasks with ZIP compression and password protection
- FIXED: Fixed an issue for tasks with destination on FTP and the initial remote directory
- FIXED: Renamed tasks keep their logs
- FIXED: “Local Files” window from “Advanced View” is now refreshed properly
- FIXED: Tasks scheduled at Windows shutdown now run properly in Windows Vista
- FIXED: Various issues with the plugin engine were fixed
- FIXED: Information about scheduled tasks are now properly refreshed after a task was run in non-GUI mode
- FIXED: Fixed a problem with the "Delete" key being inactive in editable fields after you remove some items from the source
- FIXED: Fixed an issue where the program could hang if you cancel the restore process for certain tasks
- FIXED: File paths with more than 255 characters are now handled before the task execution

Changes in this release include
- UPDATED: Improved scheduler support for all operating systems
- UPDATED: Tweaked scheduler support for Microsoft Windows XP
- UPDATED: Scheduled tasks now run in the current session on all supported operating systems (including Microsoft Windows 7 and Microsoft Windows Vista)
- UPDATED: The program can now be opened from tray agent in Microsoft Windows 7 and Microsoft Windows Vista

- FIXED: Issues when backups contain very long path names
- FIXED: Some issues with sync tasks when the first location was the root of a drive
- FIXED: Problem when backing up GFI Backup settings (plug-ins)
- FIXED: Restoring "searchable masks" from backup
- FIXED: Issues with the individual restoration of registry keys
- FIXED: Issues with the restoration of individual files from on FTP locations
