Use of MailArchiver with a third party Managed Exchange service?

We outsourced our email a while ago, so we use a Managed Exchange service from Rackspace for our emails. Essentially we buy mailboxes on their Exchange 2003 cluster.

We are looking for an email archiving solution, but not having direct access to the Exchange server(s) is making it difficult. Rackspace do partner with another organisation to provide a managed email archiving solution, but this is expensive.

Could we use MailArchiver in such a scenario?

GFI MailArchiver can be configured to archive messages remotely via an IMAP connection to the Exchange server.  If you can configure the mailbox store for journaling this should work for you.
